Samih (Sam) Musharrafiyyah is a versatile senior level professional with over 26 years of experience working in large, multi-national corporations in the global energy sector across Americas and Middle East. He is a highly analytical decision maker with extensive experience in leading large, multifunctional, culturally diverse organizations, on both a regional and global scale. He has in-depth understanding of the end-to-end business models and service solutions to the Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, Power Generation, and Infrastructure markets worldwide.
Having managed mega projects and led thousands of employees into the projects’ trenches, Sam became a passionate safety leader who understands the dynamics of human behavior and inspires people by using a personal example to show them why it is vital to adopt new safety habits.
CAREER
Sam held many positions in several renowned companies. Starting as a Mechanical Site Engineer to most recent positions as General Manager, Vice-president & Chief Operating Officer.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
Sam received a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut and a Master’s degree in Project Management with a focus on Construction and Infrastructure from the University of Liverpool. He has obtained certifications as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), as well as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Risk Management Professional (RMP) from PMI. Additionally, he is also a certified football coach.
